Welcome to the 果冻影院 Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. As Europe鈥檚 leading centre for child health research and education, our听Academic Strategy听focuses on:
- Developmental Biology and Cancer
- Developmental Neurosciences
- Genetics and Genomic Medicine
- Infection, Inflammation and Immunology
- Population Policy and Practice
The key elements of this Refreshed Strategy include a new Education Strategy which is听completely integrated into the overall Academic Strategy, an even closer alignment with Great Ormond Street Hospital and a clear strategy for international partnerships. In March 2021, we launched the听International Precision Child Health Partnership (IPCHiP), joining forces with other leading paediatric research institutes - Boston Children鈥檚 Hospital; the Murdoch Children鈥檚 Research Institute with The Royal Children鈥檚 Hospital (Melbourne); and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto 鈥� to work together to evaluate genomic data, clinical data from patients, and scientific and medical expertise to accelerate discovery and therapeutic development. In addition to our thematic strength of rare diseases, cell and gene therapy and the life course, we have developed some strategic initiatives. These include:听Data Science;听Stem Cell Biology;听Global Health and more recently Mental Health.听We intend to have further strategic initiatives which identify areas of strength here and which are also of strategic external importance.
The , which is听jointly run with Great Ormond Street Hospital and this new building, considerably augments our ability to move quickly to develop and improve diagnosis and treatment for children with rare diseases, many of which, at the minute, do not have any specific treatments.

The 果冻影院 Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH) which, together with its clinical partner Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), forms the largest concentration of children's health research in Europe.
The inspirational mission of the 果冻影院 Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health is to:"improve the health and well-being of children, and the adults they will become, through world-class research, education and public engagement".
The academic strategy of GOS ICH is focused on five scientific research and teaching departments.
Building on the strengths provided by the research and teaching departments, we promote research-based education. We aim to attract the best basic and clinical scientists who are interested in pursuing careers in child health related disciplines. Our educational offerings are tailored to their needs. We are also offering vocational courses in paediatric specialties that are designed to attract and educate clinicians, healthcare scientists and allied health professionals in all aspects of child health and paediatrics.
