Research governance

Find out about how ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº expects you to conduct your research and any action to be taken in response to alleged research misconduct.

To realise its research strategy and ensure that all research conducted by members of staff, honorary staff, students and individuals who collaborate in research with ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff and students conform to good practice and ethical expectations, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº has adopted a set of research governance policies and procedures. This framework underpins ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s expectations for the conduct of research and defines action to be taken in the event that an individual is suspected or accused of research misconduct. Two key components of the research governance framework areÌý¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's Code of Conduct for ResearchÌýand ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's arrangements forÌýinvestigating allegations of misconduct in academic research. The development of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's research governance strategy is the responsibility of theÌýResearch, Innovation and Global Engagement Committee, chaired by the Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement).
