The 果冻影院 Institute of Education (IOE) research centre examines media, technology and communication in the digital age.

It focuses on:

• Digital learning technologies
• Technology enhanced communication and collaboration
• Digital making, media and play
• Discourse, technology and the body
• Digital ethics, inclusion and diversity 聽

Professor Martin Oliver, Head of the Department of Culture Communication and Media, said: 鈥淎llison is a world-leading expert in the learning sciences, specialising in professional and digital learning, with research interests that include learning in the Education, Energy, Finance, Health and International Development sectors.聽

鈥淚n addition to her considerable research experience, Allison provided strategic leadership of learning and teaching as Academic Director for Digital Innovation at The Open University and most recently as Dean of Learning and Teaching at Glasgow University. She also brings a background in academic development, and in the design of educational programmes within Higher Education and professional contexts.鈥�
