Description

This module studiesÌýthe application of psychoanalytic concepts in clinical work with children and families, in the discipline of child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy.Ìý While the approach inÌýthe first term module (Psychoanalytic Theories of Infancy and the Child-Caregiver relationship)Ìýwas to study theory from the point of view of each key thinker, in this second term we will take a different approach, focussing on aspects of a psychoanalytic psychotherapy approach, to see how the ideas of the key thinkers and others have been taken up and are drawn upon, with adaptations and developments, in contemporary clinical practice.ÌýÌýÌý
