Description

Curriculum: Range of Issues and/or Concepts to be Covered -Models of learning, teaching and curriculum pedagogy, including national and international perspectives. Theories of learning and teaching; emotional literacy; teacher and pupil emotional well-being; the cognitive curriculum. -Psychological interventions that promote social and emotional well-being and further social inclusion, and improve attainments. -Working effectively with others to bring about constructive change in a Local Authority context, including: consultation, family/school systems, solution focused brief therapy, Personal Construct Psychology, Neurolinguistic programming. -Various forms of assessment and intervention approaches, including: context based assessment; dynamic assessment; standardised and psychometric assessment. -Psychological theories that promote understanding of organisations and organisational change, including soft systems methodology and problem analysis. -Developmental psychology and specialist knowledge base, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, attachment theory, adolescence, child development, intelligence and cognition, language and communication, emotional, social and behaviour difficulties, specific learning difficulties, dyspraxia, personality theories, bilingualism, refugees, spelling, reading, numeracy, social curriculum and bullying, motivation, memory, childhood stress and depression, able pupils, sensory and physical difficulties.
