Description

This module provides an introduction to material structures, properties, biomaterial design, biomaterial manufacture and biomaterial characterisation for regenerative medicine. Students will learn about different types of biomaterials, how biomaterial structures and properties affect biological interactions, how materials interface with biological systems and various approaches to modify materials to promote desirable cell responses (including bio-functionalisation, nanoscale structuring, surface structuring and 3D structuring)
