Description

This course is all about you as future founders and entrepreneurs – it is a journey of self-discovery and personal development designed for your future as a pioneer within a startup or scaleup.

Being part of the startup journey is exhilarating but also challenging. Your ability to perform in this challenging role requires an understanding of how to get the best from yourself, and get the best from those around you, which is underpinned by effective people skills and your ability to lead and influence effectively.

Armed with frameworks and tools we will explore and develop the skills that you will need on the rollercoaster entrepreneurial journey and as part of an effective startup team. Topics will include personal strengths, communications styles, emotional intelligence, conflict-resolution, resilience, motivation and team-culture.

As part of the course, you will also practically develop and practise a set of coaching skills. The ability to use a coaching-style as a business leader is becoming widely recognised as the optimum way to get the best out of those around you in a team, which is vital in a fast-paced startup environment. In small coaching-pods you will practise your skills, helping each other to problem-solve effectively and apply learnings developed through the course whilst practising your coaching skills.

By the end of this course, you will be more aware of how to get the best from yourself, how to get the best from others, and be set up for the challenges of being a founder or startup leader.
