Description

This module explores the intersections of conservation, and its various audiences as well asÌý connections with wider debates that are impacting how conservation is understood as an expanded practice. Through a mix of lectures, seminars, and practical work, students will explore how conservation is communicated through different media, consider what messages we might want to communicate about conservation and what is at stake in communicating conservation to a broader audience. During the module students will engage with questions of the relationship of conservation to global debates such as sustainability, decolonisation, collections and their use in the twenty-first century.ÌýÌý
