Description

This module introduces concepts from the corporate strategy and organisation studies literature to enhance the understanding about the corporate functions and intra-organisational dynamics of complex organisations. The organisation design challenge will be framed making the connection with previous decisions about the business case and project delivery model, which will lead to the analysis of potential client models. This module emphasises the functions within the boundaries of the client organisation, and prepares the argument for the necessity of thinking about the interorganisational perspective, considering the interfaces with the supply chain.

Aims of the module

The module aims to prepare the students to design and manage organisations by critically analysing the functions and integration models required at different phases of the infrastructure asset, and at different levels (individuals, teams, and firms).
