Description

The major component of the MRes is the dissertation which accounts for 150 out of the 180 credits of the final mark for the MRes. The research component will be assessed by the following three elements:

a) Written dissertation (worth 80%) marked by the main supervisor and a second member of staff in the field of research who will be the second supervisor, and moderated by the Programme Director.

b) Oral presentation (worth 5%) of the work to the Programme Director (or nominee), supervisors and at least two other members of staff.

c) Viva voce panel (worth 15%) with the supervisor, Programme Director (or nominee) and another member of academic staff in the field of research who will be the second supervisor.
