Description

This module represents the final research element of the Information Studies taught Masters' programmes. It requires students to undertake an individual independent research study and to present that work in the form of a dissertation. Consequently, by the end of the module, students will have investigated in depth a topic of their choice, learned how to plan and execute a research strategy, and understood how to present research results.

There is no formal teaching for the dissertation, but support is offered to support students to develop their academic writing and research skills, via an online course and a series of workshops.
