Description

This module is based around the writing and preparation of an original research project in the form of a Master's Dissertation. Students will be required to plan the research and dissertation from an early stage with ongoing development building on taught modules taken through the degree. The research topic will be defined under the guidance of the student's dissertation supervisor with the support of the Programme Convenor.

Students undertaking the 鈥渞esearch pathway鈥 dissertation will receive the same amount of teaching/supervision as those undertaking the 鈥渢aught pathway鈥 dissertation, however the extended dissertation offers students greater space and time to examine primary sources and texts, investigate a research question in considerable depth, demonstrated superior research skills, and show a highly advanced level of independent thought
