Description

‘Educational Supervision, Teaching and Assessment in Clinical Practice’ explores bedside teaching, opportunist learning events and how to teach clinical reasoning and clinical communication effectively.

After taking this module you should be able to recognise opportunities for teaching in the clinical setting and select appropriate strategies when teaching in a range of these clinical settings. You will be able to assist learners to reflect on their experiences through questioning and effective feedback along with identifying a range of methods for nurturing appropriate clinical attitudes. You will also be able to develop ways of involving patients in teaching and identify approaches for teaching clinical communication.

This module is assessed through a 3000 word coursework assignment carrying 100% of the final mark
