Description

Can heritage be a catalyst for social inclusion, social justice and social sustainable development? And if so, under what conditions can this be achieved? These are the central questions around which this practice-based module will focus. You will work with local stakeholders (including local authorities, heritage agencies and local communities) in historic urban areas in order to co-create a creative output that reflects and represents the values and meanings attached to different forms of heritage in the area. You will engage with theories on inclusive urban environments, inclusive and participatory heritage. You will also obtain critical skills in participatory work and co-creation.
