Description

This module aims to develop a range of language skills primarily for the purposes of conducting research: to support a Master's dissertation, for PhD research and for use in other contexts where intermediate reading skills, along with a range of further language skills, are required. The students will gain fluency in reading research and media materials, as well as developing communication skills such as speaking, writing and understanding Russian in a working environment. The module develops reading and comprehension skills for research to an intermediate level, in particular in relation to the students' specific disciplinary/research topic interests; as well as acquainting the students with a range of discourses and materials. The module consolidates the student's command of grammar and develops speaking and writing skills, for research, but and for use in practical situations.
