Description

Every top company, and every top management programme, is talking about diversity. The ability to confidently and effectively manage diversity and inclusion has become an essential skill for those who want to succeed in business today. Research shows that diversity along various dimensions of identity (e.g., gender, nationality, age, core beliefs, etc.) can either be an organisation's greatest asset, or if managed poorly, its greatest liability. This module explores the science of how diversity shapes thinking and behaviour in organisations, and equips future managers with the tools and strategies to be effective diversity leaders. In just one term, students will learn: the fundamental psychology of diversity; the links between diversity and innovation; the opportunities and challenges of diversity in organisations; and how to foster fair and inclusive workplaces. Completing this module will help students stand out as leaders prepared to manage diversity effectively in organisations today.
