Description

This module teaches how lesion approaches can be used to advance the field of cognitive neuroscience. The module covers principles of human neuropsychology – explaining how patients with circumscribed brain lesions help understand the structure of the human mind, and the fundamentals of neuropsychological assessment.ÌýThe module may also consider ‘virtual lesions’, brought about by stimulating the brain from the outside. Lesion techniques in humans may be complemented by work using animal models.
