Description

This course introduces students to advanced topics in microeconomic theory. The topics offered will depend on the faculty teaching the course.
On completing this course students should:

  • Understand existing models of choice and associated representation results.
  • Understand existing equilibrium concepts in normal-form and dynamic games.
  • Understand the major results on mechanism design.
  • Understand the major results on information design.
  • Understand the bounded rationality approaches to the equilibrium in static and dynamic games.
  • Understand Analogy based reasoning, cursed equilibrium, limited foresight, and self-confirming equilibrium.
  • Be able to apply these results.
