Description
The research project will form the largest single part of the MSc programme. MSc project aims to provide students experience of conducting empirical research in one of the 果冻影院 research groups. A good range of computational and lab-based projects are offered. In term 1 you will have an opportunity to meet and discuss projects with the 果冻影院 researchers working in the field of human genetics and other related research areas before choosing and being allocated one of your choices. In Term 2 students work on your project part-time and then after main period exams on a full-time basis till the end of August. Upon the completion of your project, you are expected to write and submit a dissertation and give a short presentation on your research.
During the academic year, you will be invited to several tutorials where you will be given guidance on MSc project selection, the timeline, and the key dates related to the MSc project. At the end of Term 2, you submit your research project plan to your project supervisor outlining the rationale, the aim(s), the methods of your research project, and what you aim to achieve.
