Description

Building on the basic module, you will have advanced level learning on the neurological disorders and neurosurgical topics. This will include Cerebrospinal Fluid Pathologies including Leaks, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Trauma, and Tumours and Cysts. Some technical aspects of neurosurgery will also be considered. Learning is through online interactive lectures and will be facilitated through tutor and student interactions via the online forums.

On completion of the module, you will have an understanding of the clinical presentation and management of a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical disorders including traumatic injuries such as head or spinal injury, a variety of hydrocephalic disease, and neoplasms such as gliomas or craniopharyngiomas. This knowledge will be relevant and applicable to clinical practice.
