Description

The module will enable you to review clinical or basic research literature of a chosen topic within the field of neuromuscular diseases.

The aim of the module is to teach you scientific writing skills, conducting a systematic overview of publications in the discipline of neuromuscular diseases research and to acquire the critical appraisal skills to evaluate the importance of science papers in the advancement of our understanding in the field of neuromuscular diseases and being able to formulate this in the form of a short essay.

The learning objectives of the module are: for you to acquire critical reading skills in your specialist field; being able to select the most relevant publications that advanced a certain area of research most in the recent years. You will also learn to independently critique scientific papers and place them into the context of the wider scientific discipline.Ìý
