Description

Description: Paediatric Neuropsychology Research Project

The aim of this module is to give students research experience in Paediatric Neuropsychology. They will undertake an original research project, critically appraise the existing literature on a topic, and present their findings orally. The module therefore focuses on the writing and preparation of (i) an original research article and (ii) a systematic review of the literature. Both papers constitute the Master’s Research Portfolio. Building on taught courses and help sessions through the year, students will be involved in the design, analysis and interpretation of data. The research topic will be defined under the guidance of the student’s chosen dissertation supervisor, with the support of the Research tutor. The aim is to produce unique, individual pieces of work that would be suitable for publication in specialist scientific journals.

It is designed for and only available to students who wish to follow the Master’s degree in Paediatric Neuropsychology (Applied or Clinical routes).
