Description

This module will cover 2 separate areas of perioperative practice, with the first 6 chapters outlining the specific perioperative implications and challenges posed by the oncology patient presenting for surgery, and the final 2 chapters focusing on perioperative pain management. Cancer incidence is rising, with more oncology patients presenting for operative procedures, so this population of patients will represent an increasing proportion of our perioperative workload in the future. Pain is a key concern of patients undergoing surgery, and an integral component of perioperative care, so as such it warrants inclusion in this program.
