Description

This module uses background knowledge on topics covered in Terms 1 and 2 and builds further into providing students with a comprehensive account of the planning for health and oral health services. More specifically, it aims to:

  • Provide students with a good understanding of health care planning and evaluation principles and concepts,
  • Cover critically the main stages of planning, from a theoretical standpoint and through practical examples,
  • Highlight important contextual issues in the planning of health care policies and programmes.

The module is open to students registered on the MSc Dental Public Health.

Students attend a series of interactive sessions in Term 3 of the academic year. Practical aspects are embedded in the sessions in order to combine theoretical concepts with a practical learning experience.
