Description

This module aims to introduce a Trainee Surgeon, Clinician and Healthcare Professional to basic and the most up to date techniques used in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

This modules includes a series of lectures on wide range of topic related to hand, breast, face, eye, nose, ear, lower limbs, and Abdominal Plasty and Reconstructive Surgery. Lectures on reconstructive surgery include the head/neck, breast reconstruction, Dupuytrens disease, congenital hand, cleft lip, skin cancer etc. Craniofacial/Aesthetic Surgery includes: maxillofacial fractures, ocular cosmetic surgery, hair transplantation, and ear reconstruction. Lectures are delivered by consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons with years of experience working in this field.

After taking this module you will be able to understand concepts of anatomy relevant to reconstruction surgery and basic and novel concepts of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
