Description

The module will focus on Promotion and Prevention in mental health across development, covering the main developmental stages (antenatal/perinatal, early days, early years, childhood and adolescence), as well as the various contexts and target groups (caregivers, children, educators). The main risk and resilient factors for caregivers and children, throughout the various timepoints, will be discussed from a clinical and research standpoint, as well as example of preventive approaches to mental health in the different groups. The module will incorporate various perspectives and professional approaches, highlighting the need for promotive and preventive initiatives, as well as scientific outreach to increase the general population’s awareness and knowledge on early childhood mental health.
