Description

The module introduces the principles of supply chain management, procurement and operations building upon transaction cost economics and agency theory. The students will be introduced to production logics of vertical integration and outsourcing, which inform the decomposability of the
asset into internal and external parts. The module will explore market engagement techniques to co-create strategies to maximise competition and innovation.

Aims of the module

The module aims to prepare the students to develop a holistic view of the megaproject as a production system, aiming to inform decisions and strategies about procurement, packaging, contract design, incentivisation mechanisms, and interface management.
