Description

The Research Project will provide you with an opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills gained in the ‘Research Methodology and Transferable Skills’ module and the ‘Research Governance’ module, to carry out your own novel research study under the guidance of academic and research staff. Your research study may be an experimental, laboratory based study, a clinical study with healthy participants or patients or a literature based project (systematic review). In addition to learning new practical skills, you will gain experience in the management and co-ordination of research work. During your research project you will work within an established research team who will be able to provide a skilled and supportive environment. The research project will provide the potential for publication of your work at conferences and may lead to a paper for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
