Description

This is the compulsory 10,000 word Report for the MA TESOL Pre-Service programme.

A report presents your own research on a topic of interest within the field of language teaching/applied linguistics. Students will engage in some form of empirical research听in the form of research synthesis / secondary research (i.e. systematic literature review or meta-analysis), or through primary data (i.e. collection/ analysis of data such as interviews, classroom observation and/ or questionnaires) for their report.

You will have the opportunity to develop your ideas about what to do for your report during the compulsory Researching Second Language Learning module and in support sessions with your supervisor. While we encourage you to follow your research interests, you should remember that there are limitations as to what it is possible to achieve within the time frame and the word length.
