Description

The research project is an opportunity for the students to develop their research skills and comes as a natural final step of their MSc degree.ÌýÌý

The dissertation has an appropriate structure for the type of research problem, and the type of methods used.ÌýÌý

The project will be expected to answer a research question or test a hypothesis and the student will be expected to write this up as project dissertation.ÌýÌý

Students should produce a report which is equivalent in structure and tone to a scientific journal article.ÌýÌýÌý

The dissertation should:ÌýÌý

- Examine a tightly focused question or hypothesis relating to a topic of significance.ÌýÌý

- Address a knowledgeable reader with a view to enhancing their understanding of the topic.ÌýÌý

- Argue from a position whilst critically assessing the issues and literature bearing on the question or hypothesisÌý
