Research Methods and Evidence for Global Health introduces you to research methods relevant to global health, including epidemiological study designs, statistical methods, qualitative research, and critical appraisal techniques. This module introduces you to the potential of a mixed-methods approach to health and disability research.

After taking this module, you should be able to:

1. Evaluate and apply quantitative and qualitative methods for investigating health problems worldwide.

2. Understand and appraise published research evidence in global health.

3. Identify appropriate methods to answer research questions relevant to global health.

The module is compulsory for students on the MSc/PG Dip Global Health and Development, and MSc Behaviour Change. It is also open to any other ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº MSc/PG Dip students, taster course students and short course students subject to availability.

Moodle will be used as an information portal for participants and source for reading materials.
