Description

This module follows on from Research Methods 1, which runs in Term 1. Each teaching session consists of a lecture introducing a statistical test and/or concept, and an SPSS computer workshop.

The main aim of the module is to equip students with understanding of statistics and skill to use the SPSS computer programme, to enable them to plan and conduct quantitative data analysis for MSc research projects, and to be able to understand and critically evaluate analytical methods and results in research carried out by others.
