Summary

This module involves undertaking an independent research project which will culminate in a dissertation of 10,000 words.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

After taking this module, you should be able to:

  1. Synthesise background literature and use it to identify research hypotheses.
  2. Select and implement the appropriate systematic or narrative review or data collection and/or analysis project.
  3. Write a thesis in scientific style that includes critical analysis of the thesis findings.

Teaching and Learning Methods

Teaching and learning will be through one-to-one discussions with allocated supervisor(s) and self-directed learning. You will be required to submit a research proposal and a student-supervisor contract.Ìý

This module will be assessed by a research project dissertation (10,000 words).
