Description

This module introduces key concepts relating to risk, decision making in situations of high uncertainty, and the factors that determine system resilience. The module covers the human dimension of how choices are made (including psychological traps and team dynamics), and the relationship between听risk听补苍诲听margin听is examined. The human dimension is further explored regarding its contribution to successful systems, including that of human factors in HMI/HCI design and the role of humans as both听operators听补苍诲听parts听of systems. Failure听avoidance听补苍诲听tolerance听are investigated through different tools and techniques, together with the contribution of different system听viewpoints听补苍诲听classifications. Key terminology such as system听reliability听补苍诲听availability听are discussed, alongside their relationship with听辩耻补濒颈迟测听补苍诲听value听别苍驳颈苍别别谤颈苍驳.
