Description

This module introduces and critically reviews the treatment of risk, uncertainty and complexity during infrastructure planning and development. The module evaluates research findings from disciplines where risk, uncertainty and complexity are at the heart of their decision-making processes (such as military planning, public health and vector control, insurance risk, project finance, earthquake engineering, flood prevention and cyber security) and seeks to transfer lessons learned to enhance current infrastructure development practice.
