Description

This module has been designed for students with differing levels of experience in chemistry. The module will explore key principles of chemistry, focusing specifically on how they are observed in the deterioration of contemporary materials found in contemporary artworks. The first four classes will run concurrently with the existing module HART0003 Introduction to Art and Science. Students will look at the chemistry of synthetic polymeric materials, as well as other materials and fabrication methods commonly used by contemporary artists.ÌýÌýÌý
