Description

This module will provide students with foundational skills in statistical programming in the R programming language. The module will introduce students to foundational concepts in programming, principles of good data management, and an introduction to data visualisation. The module will cover a variety of issues that are central to practical data analysis work, and which are pre-requisites to subsequent modules of the programme. Topics on this module may include data collection and cleaning; data exploration; version control (git); visualization; object-oriented programming; web-scraping.
