Description

Nowadays, organisations in the built environment undergo digital transformation with Building Information Management (BIM). The module aims to introduce the core concepts and principles of BIM with a system view for enterprise and project management and examine the relationships between the systems that make up BIM. The module will cover an introduction to the concepts of systems integration for BIM implementation, management of digital transformation, and the related emerging digital practices in the built environment, e.g., digital twins, the Internet of Things, and promising digital platforms.

Learning Outcomes:

• Explain the principles and core concepts of Building Information Management and Building Information Modelling

• Apply knowledge of Building Information Management methodology to enterprises and projects for business value creation
