Description

This module will allow students to analyse new insights into current problems in their field of study, referring to their systematic understanding of current knowledge. They will learn modern concepts for restorative dentistry and the application of new materials, allowing them to choose the best approach to treatments for their patients. It will advance their knowledge and understanding enabling them to continuously develop professionally. It will allow students to communicate conclusions clearly to specialist and non-specialist audiences.

The module will allow students to develop self-directed learning skills and to develop confidence in dealing with their patients, whilst understanding their limitations.

This module is a compulsory module for students studying the MSc in Restorative Dental Practice (3 year programme). Students in their 1st year of study will need to undertake modules DENT0141 and DENT0142.
