Description

A fundamental aspect of scientific research requires the ability to acquire information from original scientific papers, to analyse critically the content and quality of published scientific studies and to present the analysis in a logical and understandable manner. These skills are essential for the day-to-day critical reading of papers by professional scientists but are most tested in the peer-review process of submitted manuscripts.

The aim of this module is to develop the skills required for the acquisition and management of information from the scientific literature, reading and analysis of scientific papers, and the presentation of such analysis. The course will consist of seminars, exercises and discussion sessions.
