Description

This module uses interactive-lectures, group exercises and case studies to explore how business designs can be developed to enable successful transformation in the context of sustainability.Ìý

The module includes a discussion of the fundamentals of business design, including its importance and its key aspects. Systems thinking and the concept of the circular economy are introduced and the concept of business design for sustainability and regeneration. A lifecycle view of transformation is advanced, showing that business change should be considered as an ongoing process, or an evolution through a number of states. The module also explores how human and behavioural factors contribute to social transformation. Finally, the module will explore the concept of value from the perspective of multiple stakeholders, in particular customers and suppliers of new technologies or business models.
