Project Management Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Management Officer to join the project management group at the Department of Space and Climate Physics (Mullard Space Science Laboratory) to support the Laboratory’s space science instrumentation programme.

Vigil is an ESA Space Safety Programme space weather mission to observe the Sun from the Sun–Earth Lagrange point L5. Mullard Space Science Laboratory will be providing the PLasma Analyser (PLA), which will measure the solar wind at the location of the spacecraft over a wide dynamic range of plasma parameters

Solar-C is a proposed solar mission led by JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) as a successor to the very successful Solar-B mission (also known as Hinode). Solar-C will study how plasma and energy evolve through the solar atmosphere with matching high spatial and temporal resolution. MSSL is designing and building the short wavelength (SW) camera for the EUVST (EUV High-Throughput Spectroscopic Telescope).

This post is funded for 2 years in the first instance with a view to extend dependent on external funding. Our salary range quoted includes London Allowance.
