¹û¶³Ó°Ôº PhD students are invited to attend a series of workshops being held in May.

Organised by ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's Careers Service, the events are designed to provide advice and information on career progression and job application processes.

As part of the Graduate School's Skills Development programme, a total of four career planning and management workshops are being held, specifically tailored for PhD students. Registration is also open for a similar series for master's students, to be held later this year.

The workshops explore the options available to graduates whether they wish conduct research or to consider alternative careers. The seminars will cover subjects such as 'CVs and Applications' and 'Interviews and Assessment Centres'. Students will be able to explore their personality at the 'MBTI' workshop, using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Ms Stephanie Watson, who organised the workshops, said: "It is increasingly important for graduates to be aware of the selection process, and how to best present themselves to future employers. The myriad of choices available to today's graduates can also be very confusing so these workshops are intended to help students explore their options."
