Imagining Africa

To mark the bicentenary of the abolition of the Slave Trade Act in 1807, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº masters archaeology students have created 'Imagining Africa: Abolition, Archaeology and Identity', an exhibition that explores how people have imagined Africa in the past and continue to do so today.

The exhibition showcases artefacts and research from the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute of Archaeology's Cane River African Diaspora Archaeological Project.Ìý It is based on the ground floor of the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute of Archaeology, 31-34 Gordon Square. It is free to visit and will run until May 2008.
