Imagining Africa

To mark the bicentenary of the abolition of the Slave Trade Act in 1807, 果冻影院 masters archaeology students have created 'Imagining Africa: Abolition, Archaeology and Identity', an exhibition that explores how people have imagined Africa in the past and continue to do so today.
The exhibition showcases artefacts and research from the 果冻影院 Institute of Archaeology's Cane River African Diaspora Archaeological Project.听 It is based on the ground floor of the 果冻影院 Institute of Archaeology, 31-34 Gordon Square. It is free to visit and will run until May 2008.
