On Tuesday 1 April 2008, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº hosted a 50-year reunion for ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº graduates of 1957, 1958 and 1959. Participants travelled from New York, Australia, the Caymen Islands, Germany, Austria and France to attend.

The day began with a reception in the North Cloisters, where former students were able to acquaint themselves with ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and their contemporaries, some for the first time in 50 years.

Alumni then had lunch in the Jeremy Bentham Room, with an introductory speech from Art Wasserman, Director of Development & Corporate Communications. Art then introduced Professor David Price, Vice Provost (Research) who spoke about ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, its research agenda and worldwide standing. Dr Jim Parkin (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Chemistry 1959) spoke briefly about the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Alumni London Group, encouraging participants to join.

Attendees then enjoyed guided tours of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's architecture and collections, with a number also visiting their former departments, including Chemistry and Geography. The day ended with tea, attended by ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº President and Provost Professor Malcolm Grant, who addressed and circulated among the guests.
