The four winners of the 2008 ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Graduate School Poster Competition have been picked from 197 entries, all of which can be seen in the online gallery.

The research poster competition and exhibition is held annually, and is a great opportunity for graduate students to meet, advertise and discuss the innovative research they are undertaking, raising awareness of their work.

Andrew King (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Anthropology) won the Arts & Humanities, Laws and Social & Historical Sciences categories for his entry 'Producer-Scrounger Games in Baboons'. Andrew also did well in the 2007/2008 Research Images as Art/Art Images as Research competition by receiving the runner-up prize.

Shaun Thomas (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Physics & Astronomy) won the Built Environment, Engineering Sciences, Mathematical & Physical Sciences category for his poster, 'Probing Extra Dimensions with images of Distant Galaxies'.

Konstantina Psachoulia's (Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research) entry 'The life of an oligodendrocyte progenitor' won the Biomedical Sciences section, while 'Three-dimensional properties of hippocampal CA1 cells' by 'Madeleine Verriotis (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Psychology) won the Life Sciences category.
