¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Climate Interactions 2008: first call for registration

  • On 5 November 2008, the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Environment Institute is hosting a high-profile symposium to showcase the wide range of climate-related research undertaken at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. There will be a strong focus on early stage researchers with a poster competition for postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers.

    Professor Chris Rapley (Director of the Science Museum and ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Fellow) will give a keynote address entitled 'Humans, Energy, Climate: What Next?', followed by four half-hour presentations from leading ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº academics covering a range of topics including climate in earth history, climate impact prediction and climate and future cities.

    The meeting starts at 2pm, and posters will be available for viewing in the South Cloisters during lunch, coffee and at an evening wine reception.

    A book of research poster abstracts will be produced and will include a directory of 'expertise and facilities'Ìý to encourage future inter-departmental and inter-disciplinary research.
