Lecture: 'Reforming International Institutions: An Agenda for the 21st Century'

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and the Commonwealth Secretariat will be hosting a lecture titled 'Reforming International Institutions: An Agenda for the 21st Century' on Wednesday 21 January 2009.

The lecture will explore issues around international governance and the reform of international institutions to meet the needs of twenty-first century nations. Ìý

Speakers will include:

  • Professor Richard Bellamy (Director of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº School of Public Policy) Ìý
  • Dr David Hudson (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Political Science) Ìý
  • Professor Ngaire Woods (Director of the Global Economic Governance Programme, Oxford University)

The lecture will be held at the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute of Child Health, 30 Guilford Street, London. Registration will begin at 6.00pm and the lecture will start at 6.30pm. The event will be followed by a drinks reception.Ìý

This inaugural lecture forms part of an interdisciplinary series on Global Citizenship, organised by ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and the Commonwealth Secretariat, focusing specifically on debates surrounding global justice, policy and development. The programme forms part of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's commitment to address global issues of social, cultural and environmental import across all levels of teaching and research.
