Much of the formal relationship between church and state remains locked in the geopolitics of the late 17th century. At the launch of a new Constitution Unit book ,
Bob Morris, the main author, analyses the present position afresh and examines the options for change.

Disregarding facile arguments about disestablishment, a case will be made for reform while the matter is important - and before it becomes urgent. William Fittall will respond.

Speaker: Bob Morris (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Constitution Unit), editor and main author of Church and State in 21st Century Britain: The Future of Church Establishment
Respondent: William Fittall (Secretary-General, Archbishops' Council and Synod of the Church of England)
Chair: Robert Hazell (Director, Constitution Unit)

Flyers for a discount on the book will be available at the seminar.
