  • ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Union Volunteering Services are holding a volunteering fair on Thursday 20 January in the North Cloisters.

The fair is a chance to browse a wide range of the volunteering opportunities available to ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students. It is also a chance to speak to representatives from the different projects on offer.

John Braime (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Volunteering Services Unit) explained: "Volunteering is a rapidly growing movement at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. Every year, we see more and more students wanting to get involved. In a way this isn't surprising, because working with the wider community is a distinctive part of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº culture. Last year, 1,200 students volunteered through the Volunteering Services Unit (VSU) giving over 26,000 hours of their time in total to projects across London.

"The VSU have also set up The Ten Pound challenge. We want ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students to think creatively and come up with ideas to improve the lives of their fellow Londoners, spending only £10."

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Union volunteering Services Fair takes place on Thursday 20 January from 12.00pm - 3.00pm in the North cloisters. The VSU also currently has a range of opportunities available now for ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students. Follow the link above for more details.
